Faery is totally a good place for a dragon, right? Except this dragon is Temeraire, a totally non-magical dragon who has fought in the Napoleonic wars. He's about the size of a house so your character will more than likely notice his presence plus he'll be eating pretty much any unattended livestock/large wild animals. He's a genius but he's only a few years old and a dragon so sometimes he lacks what a human would consider common sense. He's very friendly and he likes shiny things. A lot. He's used to having a whole crew because he basically functions like a living airship and he will be very distraught at being separate from his captain, Laurence.
